With an all-out effort, Germany's Ubaldo Matildo Fillol threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Albin Holweck, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 15 minutes of play, Germany's Albin Holweck made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 22nd minute, Gustaw Wietrzychowski made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Holweck in the 25th minute of play. 29 minutes in the game Godofredo Presebal did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Samuel Nesor. Gustaw Wietrzychowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaw Wietrzychowski ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute Gustaw Wietrzychowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute, one of Germany:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Germany. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaw Wietrzychowski got free with Tommy Kahn in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 61 minutes, Gustaw Wietrzychowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Twins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaw Wietrzychowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustaw Wietrzychowski took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Gustaw Wietrzychowski's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tommy Kahn firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaw Wietrzychowski in the 82nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albin Holweck during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
