The supporters of Olimpia HSB booed when Slovakia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Juliusz Patrylo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olimpia HSB's supporters rose to their feet, but Juliusz Patrylo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrich Slany breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had been going on for 20 minutes Pavol Koleno shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Borys Mentus when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Olimpia HSB's goal looked a bit too open when Metod Mlynar came free, but Borys Mentus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vít Biskup made in the 25th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Olimpia HSB's Zula Kasiewski. 28 minutes into the game, Ksawery Wozniak threw the ball into play from the sideline. Slovakia's Vít Biskup quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 34 minutes, Olgierd Wielgopolski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olimpia HSB and the Slovakia players grew even worse after the yellow card. But to his dismay, Metod Mlynar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 43 minutes into the game, Vít Biskup threw the ball into play from the sideline. Olimpia HSB's Zula Kasiewski quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Borys Mentus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Metod Mlynar in the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Daniel Barciniak fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Metod Mlynar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Vít Biskup threw the ball into play from the sideline. Olimpia HSB's Zula Kasiewski quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Aureliusz Fetor might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henrich Slany. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zigmund Maliar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Borys Mentus having to interfere. 66 minutes in the game Daniel Barciniak did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Olgierd Wielgopolski. Olgierd Wielgopolski struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Henrich Slany didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olimpia HSB. Zigmund Maliar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Borys Mentus skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 82 minutes into the match, Kornel Jahoda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Borys Mentus. Olimpia HSB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kornel Jahoda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Slovakia's Zigmund Maliar got a free kick in the 86th minute. During the 88th minute of the match Olgierd Wielgopolski completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Olgierd Wielgopolski a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Olimpia HSB getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Olgierd Wielgopolski hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Metod Mlynar during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
