Attilio Di Loreto really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 30th minute, Felipe Barreto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 33 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Attilio Di Loreto. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Lipa KS's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Di Han Guo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Portugal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arkadiusz Juszkowski ran over to the corner to take the kick. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Attilio Di Loreto in the 66th minute of play. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. A collision led to Lipa KS getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Leszek Trzemzalski hit a great ball. With a little luck, Lipa KS's Di Han Guo got control of the ball when Felipinho Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Portugal's Di Han Guo threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bartolomeu Dias, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zula Kiepski in the 76th minute of play. Lipa KS's Di Han Guo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Moreira in the 77th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Felipinho Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipinho Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Di Han Guo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Portugal were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
