In the 8th minute, Borut Špiček left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Hong Køng made in the 11th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Lars Steen. ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Chris Nygaard scored to the left of an out of position Ernani Oliveira, making the score, 1-1. In the 18th minute, Bertram Svenningsen made a precise shot to the right of Ernani Oliveira. ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's Borut Špiček looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 24 minutes into the match, ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's Óskar Aspfors sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Keld Paulsen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Keld Paulsen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Borut Špiček went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's Ernani Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olav Graversen in the 33rd minute of play. ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mikkel Wulff 35 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-3. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Borut Špiček in the 40th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Óskar Aspfors shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 3-4 when Borut Špiček sped through Denmark's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Keld Paulsen.

52 minutes into the match, Chris Nygaard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernani Oliveira. ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chris Nygaard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-4. Hílton Toscano made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Lars Steen. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Borut Špiček put it in 4-5 from a short distance just to the right of Keld Paulsen. Mikkel Wulff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ernani Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Denmark's Chris Nygaard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernani Oliveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Óskar Aspfors managed to get in a good position for a shot. ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's supporters rose to their feet, but Óskar Aspfors was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olav Graversen charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olav Graversen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Óskar Aspfors in the 84th minute of the match. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's Borut Špiček. But to his dismay, Borut Špiček quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-6. Chants of ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Denmark had held the ball for most of the match.
