Işık Uslu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Baran Çetinel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baran Çetinel might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henrich Slany. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baran Çetinel ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Battal Gazi Bilgetay kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Henrich Slany. That made the score 2-1 in the 24 minute of play. A collision led to MUŞ SPOR getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Kerem Ülküm hit a great ball. After some careless play in the MUŞ SPOR defense, Metod Mlynar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Işık Uslu. The MUŞ SPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Işık Uslu should have stopped the shot. In the 31st minute, Kerem Ülküm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute Metod Mlynar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Işık Uslu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrich Slany made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer Akaydın in the 35th minute of play. Metod Mlynar struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Işık Uslu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slovakia. Baran Çetinel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Henrich Slany made a huge save. A throw-in in the 47th minute of the game was made by Kerem Ülküm with Ömer Akaydın as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baran Çetinel to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Baran Çetinel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrich Slany saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Vavrinec Koleno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Slovakia's Metod Mlynar was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 71st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Işık Uslu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Metod Mlynar in the 82nd minute. Metod Mlynar struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Işık Uslu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slovakia. Henrich Slany didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ömer Akaydın went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. In the 90th match minute, Slovakia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vavrinec Koleno to maneuver through the defense.
