The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Peletier came free, but Tom Riddle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Garth Brough could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Maxime Durand made a huge save. Maxime Durand didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 15th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Jean Bombelles hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Garth Brough's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maxime Durand read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Maxime Durand made an important save on a dangerous shot by Garth Brough in the 27th minute. Australian Youth Academy's Tom Riddle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camille Baume in the 29th minute of play. Garth Brough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maxime Durand having to make a save. Maxime Durand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garth Brough in the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Camille Baume came free, but Tom Riddle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maxime Durand made an important save on a dangerous shot by Garth Brough in the 33rd minute. If Garth Brough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maxime Durand made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Garth Brough sent off a good shot on target. Garth Brough might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maxime Durand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Garth Brough ran back to his position shaking his head. 45 minutes into the game, Ellis Hoskin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Australian Youth Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave France the free kick. In the 45th match minute, Australian Youth Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ellis Hoskin to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Peletier in the 47th minute of play forced Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Tom Riddle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Peletier made a kick off. If Garth Brough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. France's Maxime Durand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Brough in the 54th minute of play. After 77 minutes France's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cesar Cornelius who took care of the corner kick. Australian Youth Academy's Tom Riddle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Australian Youth Academy from getting a goal against them. France's Maxime Durand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Brough in the 82nd minute of play. Australian Youth Academy's Tom Riddle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Australian Youth Academy from getting a goal against them. In the 85thth minute of the game Garth Brough who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but France's Maxime Durand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roy Baba made in the 90th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Garth Brough immediately put the ball in play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Garth Brough managed to get in a good position for a shot. Australian Youth Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Garth Brough was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maxime Durand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Australian Youth Academy's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
