Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sandro Galishoff made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd match minute, Austria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Nalder to maneuver through the defense. Adam Buksa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Fabio Auer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 7 minutes, Radowit Grocholski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Widzew Łódź's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radowit Grocholski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, Stefan Pozorski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabio Auer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Buksa, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Sandro Galishoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Christian Wallner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Austria's zone, Gilbert Wos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Auer came out of the goal and Gilbert Wos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adam Buksa took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabio Auer. Fabio Auer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 26 minutes, Karol Cichocki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Widzew Łódź and the Austria players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Austria booed when Widzew Łódź was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karol Cichocki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilbert Wos charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
