Wiktor Henriksson hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Karl Bank took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bjarne Kirkegaard hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 20th match minute, FC ILIRIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viktor Boman to maneuver through the defense. Karl Bank made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of FC ILIRIA booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertram Svenningsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bertram Svenningsen during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Simon Bendtsen got a free kick in the 30th minute. FC ILIRIA's Karl Bank played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 34th minute of play. Stig Bokelund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stig Bokelund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jimmy Bröms fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Bello Bonk in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Simon Bendtsen. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Bertram Svenningsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Bertram Svenningsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Bank breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Keld Paulsen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stig Bokelund went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig Bokelund in the 66th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronny Wickander, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Bergkvist in the 84th minute of the match. After 86 minutes, Tage Bållström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC ILIRIA and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tage Bållström kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Bertram Svenningsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Bank saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tage Bållström made in the 89th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Bello Bonk. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC ILIRIA fans cheered their team off the field, for while Denmark had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
