Bas Tuitert kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Wim Wilmes put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gergely Sinka. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Eikelkamp in the 8th minute of play forced KYRA FC's goalkeeper Gergely Sinka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Radomil Mroczynski in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the match, KYRA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Gergely Sinka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Radomil Mroczynski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Radomil Mroczynski hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Gergely Sinka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 25th minute of the match. After 26 minutes KYRA FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. Gergely Sinka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 28th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gijsbert ter Kruimer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gergely Sinka was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. The supporters of Netherlands booed when KYRA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adan Guilabertus didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KYRA FC's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 45 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Radomil Mroczynski was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 53rd minute of play forced KYRA FC's goalkeeper Gergely Sinka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 55th minute. KYRA FC's Moises Bladi was substituted for Carmelo Jordy. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lars Meesters in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gergely Sinka saved KYRA FC from getting behind. In the 73rd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gergely Sinka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gust Ennemans made in the 79th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. In the 87th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. KYRA FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some careless play in the KYRA FC defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gergely Sinka. The KYRA FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gergely Sinka should have stopped the shot.
