Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niculae Dănășel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ilie Baican charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ilie Baican the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Alex Team got a freekick which was hit by Ilie Baican. Niculae Dănășel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 18th minute of play. Chris Nygaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Denmark booed when Alex Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilie Baican didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th match minute, Alex Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ştefan Ghiorman to maneuver through the defense. Olav Graversen hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. If Chris Nygaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgil Gane came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Keld Paulsen could save by the left post. Niculae Dănășel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 33rd minute of the match. Lars Steen kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Zbyszko Falkiewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clodoveo Hanot in the 43rd minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chris Nygaard to make the kick off. Ilie Baican hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Chris Nygaard fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Niculae Dănășel, passed just outside the right post. Luca Banu's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Clodoveo Hanot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niculae Dănășel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The supporters of Alex Team booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikkel Wulff didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Alex Team had won after a very even match.
