Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qu Wei in the 9th minute of the match. Proteu's Dudu de Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute, 毛明昆 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The audience was convinced that 毛明昆's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. 毛明昆 took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 毛明昆 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qu Wei in the 20th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Proteu's 毛明昆 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. That made the score 5-0 after 21 minutes of play. 24 minutes into the game, Denílson Tepedino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tercero Segundo in the 27th minute of play forced Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Borjan Golubovic kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. With a little luck, Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic got control of the ball when Denílson Tepedino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Proteu's 毛明昆. But to his dismay, 毛明昆 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Qu Wei sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, 毛明昆 put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Vladeta Jovic kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Serbia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when 毛明昆 scored to the left of an out of position Zvezdan Nedeljkovic, making the score, 9-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 9-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute, Tercero Segundo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gernando Nunes scored 10-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 59 minutes of play, Proteu's Dudu de Castro made it 12-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Qu Wei in the 62nd minute of play forced Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luizinho Perfumo made in the 63rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tercero Segundo immediately put the ball in play. Borjan Golubovic charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Borjan Golubovic the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the Serbia defense, Gernando Nunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. The Serbia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zvezdan Nedeljkovic should have stopped the shot. In the 71st minute Qu Wei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by 毛明昆 in the 72nd minute of play forced Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Serbia booed when Proteu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Qu Wei didn't get a good kick on the ball. 毛明昆 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 95th minute Qu Wei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Serbia's goal looked a bit too open when 毛明昆 came free, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Proteu walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
