Lars Meesters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Abalos having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Fabio Abalos in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of ionion booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Eikelkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31stth minute of the game Gijsbert ter Kruimer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ionion's Fabio Abalos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 51st match minute, ionion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costică Donose to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Abalos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnout Reekers had great luck who in the 59thth minute grab hold of the ball when Panait Oprea from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Panait Oprea sent off a good shot on target. ionion's Fabio Abalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 65th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabio Abalos. Fabio Abalos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fabio Abalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 83rd minute of play. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after ionion's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. Zikoranachidimma Bischhoffshausen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilie Surugiu in the 89th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, ionion's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Fabio Abalos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
