Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santos Orlan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. El Fortín de Floresta were furious when Casimiro Policarpio was red carded, 19 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in El Fortín de Floresta fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! 22 minutes into the game, Edward Vanderstraeten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Santos Orlan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Hats, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Santos Orlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 minutes, Salvador Hats made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Belgium's Casper Claes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When El Fortín de Floresta's Salvador Hats in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Salvador Hats to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, El Fortín de Floresta's Wincent Oryl got a free kick in the 53rd minute. El Fortín de Floresta's Santos Orlan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save El Fortín de Floresta from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute of the match, Edward Vanderstraeten got a very nice opportunity to score, but Santos Orlan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salvador Hats in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Claes saved Belgium from getting behind. Santos Orlan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 66th minute. El Fortín de Floresta's Delmar Manex was substituted for Desiderio Brais. El Fortín de Floresta's Inocencio Lixandro was substituted for Cristo Orlan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Stanislao in the 75th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Orlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 minutes, Lenny Clocheret mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belgium and the El Fortín de Floresta players grew even worse after the yellow card. 90 minutes into the match, El Fortín de Floresta's Lucio Stanislao sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Claes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Belgium's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
