If King Koopa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Codruț Dragușin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Codruț Dragușin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Codruț Dragușin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Codruț Dragușin in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Kuido Ööpik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. Willy Stieler hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute Codruț Dragușin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kuido Ööpik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 38th minute of the match. If Codruț Dragușin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 71 minutes into the match, Axbergs IF's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Kuido Ööpik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute Codruț Dragușin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Codruț Dragușin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Axbergs IF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
