A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Hakkı Kenan Pınar came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Velimir Popchev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Italy were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after VN Keleler's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sigfrido Auletta took the corner. Italy's Sigfrido Auletta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Velimir Popchev in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A sloppy throw-in by Gianpaolo Mascari in the 23rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by VN Keleler's Seyit Bozbey. After 24 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Porziano Marchitelli. In the 27th minute, Italy's Porziano Marchitelli dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Velimir Popchev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stuart Byman in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doychin Konsulov in the 36th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hakkı Kenan Pınar in the 48th minute of the match. After 49 minutes Italy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andreas Lund who took care of the corner kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Velimir Popchev came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Italy's Zaccheo Andolina. But to his dismay, Zaccheo Andolina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Siricio Liotta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Velimir Popchev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to VN Keleler getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. In the 76th match minute, Italy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sigfrido Auletta to maneuver through the defense. After 82 played minutes VN Keleler got a freekick which was hit by Gong Yuan Yu. Velimir Popchev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 88th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Hakkı Kenan Pınar took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Flavio Vittori to make any attempt to save it. In the 95th match minute, VN Keleler was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seyit Bozbey to maneuver through the defense. Adriano Curto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Velimir Popchev having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Italy had won after a very even match.
