Netherlands's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Arturo Efren scored to the left of an out of position Arnout Reekers, making the score, 1-1. Marcos Piña hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

After some careless play in the BLACK LIONS defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Justo Musko. The BLACK LIONS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Justo Musko should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cebo Ponte in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. In the 59th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathijn Doctor to maneuver through the defense. After 61 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Isaias Iratxo who took care of the corner kick. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Piña in the 61st minute of the match. BLACK LIONS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Isaias Iratxo in the 62nd minute. Marcos Piña hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Arturo Efren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Musko having to interfere. After 77 played minutes BLACK LIONS got a freekick which was hit by Justo Gomesano. A collision led to BLACK LIONS getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Esteve Udalaitz hit a great ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Justo Musko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, BLACK LIONS's Justo Musko got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line.
