Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Magallanes were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Netherlands's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Seran Turres took the corner. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jasone Basualto went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Arnout Reekers was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Juan Mondaca capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Juan Mondaca really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anacleto Dessauer in the 13th minute of play. Ksawery Witkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 14th minute of play. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anacleto Dessauer in the 15th minute. Magallanes's Jasone Basualto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnout Reekers in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Magallanes's Anacleto Dessauer in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 19th minute of play forced Magallanes's goalkeeper Ksawery Witkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ksawery Witkowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 21 minutes into the game, Netherlands's David Eikelkamp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ksawery Witkowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 24 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Magallanes's Ksawery Witkowski. Ksawery Witkowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Magallanes's Guille Aravena got a free kick in the 28th minute. Magallanes's Ksawery Witkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 31st minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Magallanes's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Ksawery Witkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Magallanes booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Meesters didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Mondaca struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Magallanes. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Mondaca in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind.

52 minutes into the match, Magallanes's goalkeeper Ksawery Witkowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. In the 59th minute, Gust Ennemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magallanes made a substitution. Christiano Soffia replaced Alejandro Campbell. Magallanes made a substitution. Ida Bagus Leal replaced Anacleto Dessauer. Magallanes's Jasone Basualto quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gust Ennemans, made in the 65th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 68th minute, which Ksawery Witkowski however easily saved by the left post. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kadim Sebil in the 74th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ksawery Witkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kadim Sebil in the 92nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Magallanes support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
