Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Adalberto Nueva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 7th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Gijsbert ter Kruimer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adalberto Nueva having to make a save. Adalberto Nueva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 17th minute of the match. After 18 minutes Iron Maiden FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt to fire away a dangerous shot which Adalberto Nueva despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Honorio Torrent could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Iron Maiden FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. García Garate didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Adalberto Nueva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Günalp Talip in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 29th minute of play forced Iron Maiden FC's goalkeeper Adalberto Nueva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Murray, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Nueva having to interfere.

Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Adalberto Nueva in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by García Garate in the 55th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from García Garate in the 55th minute of play. Baltazar Fuente hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iron Maiden FC's Janick Geers was substituted for Dave Murray. 69 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Arın Biçim came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Janick Geers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Adalberto Nueva threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Adalberto Nueva in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Wim Wilmes hit a great ball. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Günalp Talip was slow to take the kick. During this time Iron Maiden FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Honorio Torrent almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers did a great save. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Günalp Talip in the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adalberto Nueva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Iron Maiden FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Netherlands had controlled the match.
