But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucio Gabino couldn't finish the play. 30 minutes into the match, the xeneise dream team's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Sabin Pânzaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabin Pânzaru having to interfere. Zula Osielski kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After having played for 36 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Habil Castolo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balazs Lajos in the 46th minute of play forced the xeneise dream team's goalkeeper Sabin Pânzaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antal Valentin made a kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Hungary's Antal Valentin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sabin Pânzaru was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 59 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Vörös Henrik. Qian Cheng Xing struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Fodor Daniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for the xeneise dream team. Sabin Pânzaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Takacs Tibor in the 63rd minute of the match. Sabin Pânzaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 64 minutes the xeneise dream team's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabin Pânzaru having to interfere. When Antal Valentin came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. The supporters of Hungary booed when the xeneise dream team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Roldanillo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
