The supporters of Netherlands booed when Pampas Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tato Urbina didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piorno Zamora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Piorno Zamora yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Pampas Team's Ximun Alonso was substituted for Xavier Rapado. Piorno Zamora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 67th minute of play. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Lekumberri Labarra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. 79 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Lekumberri Labarra came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
