Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Sachs to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Gísli Langnickel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. Aversa's Eerik Eha was substituted for Aang Pitono. 74 minutes into the match, Aversa's Gísli Langnickel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Gísli Langnickel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aversa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-11. Chris Mergenthaler made in the 77th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Aversa's Amedeo Vida. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gísli Langnickel got free with Tommy Kahn in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aversa were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Germany's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eerik Eha took the corner. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gísli Langnickel in the 81st minute of the match. Aversa's Anthony Vaiani shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 94th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Tommy Kahn but with some difficulty. The Germany fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Aversa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
