An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 3rd minute of play forced Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's goalkeeper Jan Budzyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's Jan Budzyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 10th minute of play. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Budzyn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 17th minute of the match. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Budzyn having to interfere. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Jan Budzyn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's Jan Budzyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 36th minute of play. Jan Budzyn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Balazs Lajos's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Tymoteusz Kasprzak came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Lyna Lidzbark Warminski fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tymoteusz Kasprzak couldn't finish the play. Jan Budzyn was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Major Barna capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Major Barna really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1.
