After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Konstanty Smolarek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spartan FC Mogilany's supporters rose to their feet, but Konstanty Smolarek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilie Dumitrescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diogo Martins in the 12th minute. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Konstanty Smolarek's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwo Domarecki having to interfere. Diogo Martins hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Spartan FC Mogilany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Iwo Domarecki quite easily take care of the ball. Konstanty Smolarek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diogo Martins got free with Arnout Reekers in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Ilie Dumitrescu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arnout Reekers, 1-0. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwo Domarecki having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Konstanty Smolarek to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilie Dumitrescu in the 52nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Martins came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Spartan FC Mogilany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liam Hähner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iwo Domarecki made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. After 72 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by David Eikelkamp. With a little luck, Spartan FC Mogilany's Iwo Domarecki got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Spartan FC Mogilany's goalkeeper Iwo Domarecki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer. Iwo Domarecki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 84th minute of the match. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Iwo Domarecki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Spartan FC Mogilany made a substitution. Wojciech Skaradowski replaced Konstanty Smolarek. After 89 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gijsbert ter Kruimer. After 95 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gijsbert ter Kruimer. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
