Dabi Vila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. 11 minutes into the match, Los once leones Ourense's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Albano Unzueta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dabi Vila's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arnout Reekers firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Dabi Vila tried to sneak it across the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. After 25 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nereo Cacheres who took care of the corner kick. Gust Ennemans made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Los once leones Ourense's Albano Unzueta managed to reach the ball for a save. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo-Enrique Alabern in the 29th minute of the match. After 39 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Egbert Nijveldt. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo-Enrique Alabern in the 79th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Albano Unzueta successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute Pablo-Enrique Alabern shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nereo Cacheres went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score.
