Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Frank Sachs made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Golob saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roman Golob having to make a save. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Maciej Gollob made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 24 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 27th minute of play forced Phoenix's goalkeeper Roman Golob to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Roman Golob tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Frank Sachs kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roman Golob. That made the score 1-1 in the 31 minute of play. Albin Holweck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute Szczepan Nikodemski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix's Tobiasz Kaszubowski. But to his dismay, Tobiasz Kaszubowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The Germany players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Phoenix were winning 1-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Szczepan Nikodemski to make the kick off. Roman Golob came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Germany's Frank Sachs. But to his dismay, Frank Sachs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Roman Golob tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Albin Holweck came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albin Holweck couldn't finish the play. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Szczepan Nikodemski in the 59th minute of play. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roman Golob having to make a save. Phoenix's Roman Golob played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 69th minute of play. Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Golob having to interfere. When Frank Sachs, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 75 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Roman Golob was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Roman Golob showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After a rather tough play, Germany's Chris Mergenthaler got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The supporters of Germany booed when Phoenix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Erdiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Maciej Gollob came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Phoenix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maciej Gollob couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eleuterio Erdiano hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Roman Golob made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Phoenix left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Germany.
