The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Adrian Dreifuss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Vázquez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 11th minute Mike de Pelsmaeker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albin Holweck scored 3-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 袁威凌, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Janik Vogt kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Vázquez in the 39th minute of the match. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Vázquez in the 46th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Vázquez in the 49th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a rather tough play, Germany's Albin Holweck got a free kick in the 67th minute. Fryderyk Grucza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute.
