Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Graciano Coutinho in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Willian Cuesta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Milosz Majczyk tried to sneak it across the goal line. Viriato Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Willian Cuesta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ARES FC DeusDeFutbol's Karl-Heinz Rummenigge got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Willian Cuesta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 17th minute of play. ARES FC DeusDeFutbol's Willian Cuesta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 22nd minute of play. Caetano Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willian Cuesta having to interfere. Portugal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Karl-Heinz Rummenigge scored to the left of an out of position Wilson Amorim, making the score, 2-0. The supporters of Portugal booed when ARES FC DeusDeFutbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alparslan Türkeş didn't get a good kick on the ball. Willian Cuesta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl-Heinz Rummenigge to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Willian Cuesta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes in the game, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Faustino Almeida got a throw-in 68 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Faustino Almeida. Caetano Moreira scored 3-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Willian Cuesta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Moreira in the 89th minute of play forced ARES FC DeusDeFutbol's goalkeeper Willian Cuesta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartolomeu Dias in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Willian Cuesta saved ARES FC DeusDeFutbol from getting behind. From a short distance, Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias, in the 94th minute, tried to place the ball behind Willian Cuesta, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
