Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, ♀★海盗王杜蕾斯☆♂'s goalkeeper 袁威凌 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. An unexpectedly hard shot by 柳文谦 in the 21st minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Luis Vázquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Luis Vázquez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eraldo Ciapponi in the 34th minute of the match. 袁威凌 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 37th minute. 吴雄剑's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Vázquez in the 51st minute of play. Luis Vázquez might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Vázquez ran back to his position shaking his head. Luis Vázquez struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ♀★海盗王杜蕾斯☆♂. Luis Vázquez was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 袁威凌 having to interfere. ♀★海盗王杜蕾斯☆♂ made a substitution. Fryderyk Grucza replaced 柳文谦. 63 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Fryderyk Grucza came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Janik Vogt charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
