Sostene Vitulli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Szczakowianka's Donald Voldfrom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Vittori narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Zaccheo Andolina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Italy's supporters rose to their feet, but Zaccheo Andolina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zula Kosiorek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Donald Voldfrom in the 93rd minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adriano Curto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zula Kosiorek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The Szczakowianka fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Italy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
