Lars Meesters scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Seyhan Atlıhan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ozanköy u21's Seyhan Atlıhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 9th minute of play. After 15 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anders Eriksson who took care of the corner kick. Ozanköy u21's Anders Eriksson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnout Reekers in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Seyhan Atlıhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 16th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seyhan Atlıhan having to interfere. In the 29th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seyhan Atlıhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Ozanköy u21's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Seyhan Atlıhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ren Xi Chen in the 41st minute. In the 41st play minute Ren Xi Chen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arnout Reekers. 2-1.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. Seyhan Atlıhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 52nd minute of the match. After 59 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Bas Tuitert. After having played for 59 minutes, Anders Eriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ozanköy u21's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anders Eriksson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ren Xi Chen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ren Xi Chen in the 65th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Ren Xi Chen came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ren Xi Chen in the 68th minute of play. If Vincent Abubakar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th match minute, Ozanköy u21 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adnan Kayıboylu to maneuver through the defense. Ozanköy u21's Bektaş Ali Demirel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gust Ennemans in the 75 minute of the game. Gust Ennemans made in the 78th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ozanköy u21's Bektaş Ali Demirel. Seyhan Atlıhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 80th minute of play. Bektaş Ali Demirel's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bektaş Ali Demirel helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ozanköy u21 getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Bektaş Ali Demirel hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Gust Ennemans in the 83rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ozanköy u21's Bektaş Ali Demirel. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Resulhan Lemi, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Ren Xi Chen came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Ozanköy u21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Eriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Ozanköy u21 support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
