Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Wang Rong Jing got the match started through his kick off. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thomas Ravelli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thomas Ravelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's Thomas Ravelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 12th minute of play. After 12 played minutes S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r got a freekick which was hit by Wang Rong Jing. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Ravelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Thomas Ravelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The corner ended in Egbert Nijveldt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's Thomas Ravelli did a great save. When Angelo Larralde fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's protests and gave Angelo Larralde a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, Angelo Larralde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Abdurrahim Bahar hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thomas Ravelli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wang Rong Jing. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 30 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by David Eikelkamp. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Wang Rong Jing tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thomas Ravelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Thomas Ravelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wang Rong Jing took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After having played for 78 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thomas Ravelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 80th minute of the match. Yavuz Bülent İlkim hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thomas Ravelli. That made the score 2-1 after 93 minutes of play. Netherlands's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
