Safet Hands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 18th minute of the match. David Eikelkamp made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that The Obscurials's Safet Hands managed to reach the ball for a save. 22 minutes into the match, The Obscurials's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Safet Hands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Gust Ennemans got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 28thth minute of the game Adriano Ribeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Safet Hands saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, The Obscurials's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Safet Hands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Safet Hands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 35th minute of the match. Safet Hands made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 36th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, The Obscurials's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Safet Hands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 minutes, David Eikelkamp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the The Obscurials players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anders Westerstrand hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anders Westerstrand was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Anders Westerstrand cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Obscurials's Safet Hands played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 61st minute of play. When Anders Westerstrand came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the The Obscurials fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anders Westerstrand couldn't finish the play. The Obscurials made a substitution. Michel Platini replaced Cliff Rowden. Gustaaf Groeneveldt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Safet Hands when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 80th minute, Egbert Nijveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Obscurials's Safet Hands proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save The Obscurials from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Safet Hands in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 90 minutes into the match, The Obscurials's Adriano Ribeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnout Reekers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anders Westerstrand hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bas Tuitert to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Anders Westerstrand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Anders Westerstrand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Lars Meesters hit a great ball. Netherlands were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
