The audience was convinced that Hristiyan Lalov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casper Claes was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. The VN Ultra Spartak fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when VN Ultra Spartak's Hristiyan Lalov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Amancio Casado hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Kamil Sungur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Casper Claes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sander Dermaut hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, VN Ultra Spartak's Kamil Sungur got a free kick in the 29th minute. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albérico Bernardes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. Casper Claes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 34th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. When Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VN Ultra Spartak's goalie prevented a goal. In the 40th minute Hristiyan Lalov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albérico Bernardes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Sabbe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Cristiano Lewandowski sped through Belgium's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Casper Claes. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edward Vanderstraeten to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nigel Devos to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Belgium's zone, Cristiano Lewandowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Claes came out of the goal and Cristiano Lewandowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hristiyan Lalov in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Claes saved Belgium from getting behind. A nice corner shot did that Argir Monev got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Casper Claes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Belgium booed when VN Ultra Spartak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ikonom Dedov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Cristiano Lewandowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VN Ultra Spartak fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Lewandowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. VN Ultra Spartak's Kamil Sungur got his second yellow card of the match in the 69th minute. The referee ordered Kamil Sungur off the ground. In the 69th match minute, VN Ultra Spartak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kamil Sungur to maneuver through the defense. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 77 minutes VN Ultra Spartak's goalkeeper Albérico Bernardes managed, with a little bit of luck, save Edward Vanderstraeten's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Albérico Bernardes came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten. But to his dismay, Edward Vanderstraeten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 80 minutes into the match, VN Ultra Spartak's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Dervaux came free, but Albérico Bernardes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 84 minutes, Simon Sabbe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgium's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Sabbe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, VN Ultra Spartak's Albérico Bernardes got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. VN Ultra Spartak's Albérico Bernardes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save VN Ultra Spartak from getting a goal against them. Belgium's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
