Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Alin Chiru made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4th minute, Alin Chiru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Acatar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 7 minutes into the match, FC Acatar's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Ekhemos Kezdoglou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paul Taşcu during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 played minutes FC Acatar got a freekick which was hit by Paul Taşcu. Lars Meesters was extremely unlucky when he, in the 9th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ekhemos Kezdoglou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 12th minute. Ekhemos Kezdoglou was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Gustaaf Groeneveldt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Denis Jilăveanu charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denis Jilăveanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 43 minutes into the game, Vicente Padro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Acatar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Ekhemos Kezdoglou made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Constantin Bâlea in the 51st minute. FC Acatar were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Netherlands's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Constantin Bâlea took the corner. The corner ended in Constantin Bâlea almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantin Bâlea in the 57th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, FC Acatar's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Ekhemos Kezdoglou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Kees Mooiweer hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, Vlad Oardă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Ekhemos Kezdoglou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. In the 71st minute, Wim Wilmes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. In the 76th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ekhemos Kezdoglou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, FC Acatar's Alin Chiru dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gust Ennemans hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Gust Ennemans got a free kick in the 94th minute. Despite being the better team, Netherlands failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
