Donato Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Italy's Flavio Vittori got control of the ball when Franz Grassme tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 79 minutes of play, Ripa FC's Gu Chang Peng made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavio Vittori was left in no man's land by his defense there! Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gu Chang Peng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 minutes Italy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alvaro Jakes who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Ripa FC's Mateo Lalla getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Italy made a substitution. Sansone Vanella replaced Gianpaolo Mascari. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. 92 minutes into the match, Ripa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Curto came free, but Aldo Mannie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvaro Jakes got a throw-in 94 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Kazimierz Domin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Curto in the 98th minute of play forced Ripa FC's goalkeeper Aldo Mannie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Italy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
