Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Switzerland's Samuele Kunz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Switzerland's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Trần Nghiêm-Minh scored to the left of an out of position Hias Nüssli, making the score, 1-0. Switzerland's Samuele Kunz got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Switzerland fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Switzerland's Samuele Kunz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tôn Bien hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Jacinto Maurer scored 1-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Teo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nguyễn Teo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuele Kunz, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The supporters of Switzerland booed when Huế was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Bien didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Trần Nghiêm-Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Trần Nghiêm-Minh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Hias Nüssli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Huế booed when Switzerland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fridolin Neumeister didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 45 played minutes Huế got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Bien. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Trần Nghiêm-Minh to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Nghiêm-Minh in the 53rd minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Huế's Trần Nghiêm-Minh nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hias Nüssli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Switzerland's Samuele Kunz got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Teo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuele Kunz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rodrigo von Känel came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Switzerland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo von Känel couldn't finish the play. Nguyễn Teo came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Switzerland's Samuele Kunz. But to his dismay, Samuele Kunz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Hias Nüssli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Thanh in the 68th minute of the match. A collision led to Huế getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Nguyễn Duc hit a great ball. Switzerland's Hias Nüssli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Thanh in the 79th minute of play. After having played for 81 minutes, Trần Nghiêm-Minh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huế's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trần Nghiêm-Minh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute of the match, Jacinto Maurer got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nguyễn Teo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Huế's Nguyễn Teo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuele Kunz in the 87th minute of play. Switzerland were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
