Tony Angelsø could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Fodor Daniel made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 31st minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Guga Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guga Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antal Valentin made a kick off. After some careless play in the Mexilhão F. C. defense, Antal Valentin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guga Tavares. The Mexilhão F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guga Tavares should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guga Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Angelsø in the 56th minute of play. If Balazs Lajos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Mexilhão F. C.'s Guga Tavares got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexilhão F. C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. In the 67th minute, Serafino Herena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute, Antal Valentin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guga Tavares was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Balazs Lajos got free with Guga Tavares in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga Tavares having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Angelsø came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 minutes of play, Mexilhão F. C.'s Tony Angelsø made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fodor Daniel was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Mexilhão F. C. booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hegedus Henrik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Angelsø in the 82nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Tony Angelsø's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Antal Valentin could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Guga Tavares however easily saved by the left post. 91 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Guga Tavares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. In the 95th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Mexilhão F. C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick.
