KFC Cromvelde were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Italy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cosmin Contra took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dieter Denys in the 13th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean-Louis Van Bever made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, KFC Cromvelde's Karl-Heinz Kaltz got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Porziano Marchitelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean-Louis Van Bever stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zaccheo Andolina's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Zaccheo Andolina put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jean-Louis Van Bever. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathijs Rokeloos in the 31st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zaccheo Andolina in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean-Louis Van Bever prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Mathijs Rokeloos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean-Louis Van Bever took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Italy booed when KFC Cromvelde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosmin Contra didn't get a good kick on the ball.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zaccheo Andolina made a kick off. After 51 played minutes KFC Cromvelde got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Oto. After some careless play in the Italy defense, Mathijs Rokeloos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flavio Vittori. The Italy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavio Vittori should have stopped the shot. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé 武松 in the 59th minute of the match. Jean-Louis Van Bever showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. KFC Cromvelde made a substitution. Matthias Wauters replaced Dieter Denys. KFC Cromvelde's 沈笑伟 was substituted for Everardo Oto. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by KFC Cromvelde's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sigfrido Auletta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Siricio Liotta got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jean-Louis Van Bever quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dé 武松 in the 65th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean-Louis Van Bever came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Italy's Porziano Marchitelli. But to his dismay, Porziano Marchitelli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Karl-Heinz Kaltz kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Zaccheo Andolina came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jean-Louis Van Bever could save by the left post. 74 minutes into the match, Dé 武松 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Vittori. Italy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dé 武松 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 83rd minute Henry Åkesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henry Åkesson kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Italy's Adriano Curto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jean-Louis Van Bever narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jean-Louis Van Bever took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Curto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guiscardo Davide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
