In the 28thth minute of the game Mathijs Rokeloos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Italy's Flavio Vittori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dieter Denys in the 30th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KFC Cromvelde's Dieter Denys got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 32 played minutes KFC Cromvelde got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Heinz Kaltz. Mathijs Rokeloos scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flavio Vittori, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Dieter Denys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dieter Denys in the 44th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Vittori made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Dé 武松 sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute, Mathijs Rokeloos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Flavio Vittori. The goal made the score 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

A collision led to KFC Cromvelde getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Joel Barcelos hit a great ball. KFC Cromvelde made a substitution. Henry Åkesson replaced Mathijs Rokeloos.
