Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Maurin in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andres Lastur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Teobaldo Ubarna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teobaldo Ubarna might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Reekers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teobaldo Ubarna ran back to his position shaking his head. El Renacer del Quijano FC were furious when Kalin Golubarev was red carded, 31 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for El Renacer del Quijano FC! Andres Lastur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 35 minutes into the game, Lars Meesters cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Andres Lastur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a free kick in the 37th minute. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teobaldo Ubarna in the 44th minute. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Gust Ennemans hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. El Renacer del Quijano FC's Andres Lastur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 55th minute of play. David Eikelkamp received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andres Lastur came out and tried to block the shot, but David Eikelkamp slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 57th minute. Andres Lastur made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Andres Lastur made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Andres Lastur in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes into the match, El Renacer del Quijano FC's goalkeeper Andres Lastur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Ubarna in the 73rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El Renacer del Quijano FC made a substitution. Arnoldo Montrell replaced Nunez Maurin. In the 81stth minute of the game Gijsbert ter Kruimer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Renacer del Quijano FC's Andres Lastur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 83 minutes into the match, El Renacer del Quijano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Andres Lastur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
