Nigel Devos hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yves Dervaux in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mike Zoetmulder saved De Pelgrims from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 17th minute of play forced De Pelgrims's goalkeeper Mike Zoetmulder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17thth minute of the game Edward Vanderstraeten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yves Dervaux might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mike Zoetmulder. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yves Dervaux ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 31 minutes, Perivaldo Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Pelgrims's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perivaldo Eger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Huub Gerrits notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Belgium's Casper Claes. Casper Claes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias de Ruijter, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Casper Claes made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Perivaldo Eger sent off a good shot on target.

A throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game was made by Fu Peng Feng with Twan Mol as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Mike Zoetmulder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Eger in the 59th minute of play. De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save De Pelgrims from getting a goal against them. Belgium's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 62nd minute. Yves Dervauxs short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Mike Zoetmulder to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias de Ruijter in the 64th minute of the match. Henk Cardinaal might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Casper Claes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henk Cardinaal ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute, Montrel Perpiñán hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Montrel Perpiñán hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Laurens Vandamme kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fu Peng Feng in the 97th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The De Pelgrims supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Belgium's performance. The match ended with a win for Belgium.
