The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Hilario Pesquera in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 9 minutes into the match, Golden Dragón F.C's Soner Turking sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Claes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Golden Dragón F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alan Petersen in the 10th minute. Hilario Pesquera made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. After 17 minutes Golden Dragón F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edward Vanderstraeten who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten to fire away a dangerous shot which Hilario Pesquera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Belgium getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Floris Claeys hit a great ball. Soner Turking blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Casper Claes having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Soner Turking in the 21st minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hilario Pesquera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yves Dervaux in the 22nd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hilario Pesquera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Hilario Pesquera made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 51st minute of play forced Golden Dragón F.C's goalkeeper Hilario Pesquera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hilario Pesquera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute of the match Belgium got a corner. Golden Dragón F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edward Vanderstraeten ran over to the corner to take the kick. 55 minutes into the match, Golden Dragón F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Sabbe came free, but Hilario Pesquera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Floris Claeys got a free kick in the 58th minute. Hilario Pesquera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 63rd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Soner Turking. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belgium's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alan Petersen was slow to take the kick. During this time Golden Dragón F.C's players had a chance to rest. Xamo Melic's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Claes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceyhan Celvet in the 73rd minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ceyhan Celvet. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edward Vanderstraeten in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hilario Pesquera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hilario Pesquera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After 86 minutes Golden Dragón F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edward Vanderstraeten who took care of the corner kick. 93 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Camerino Luey came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Belgium getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Yves Dervaux hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Belgium fans cheered their team off the field, for while Golden Dragón F.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
