Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Toni Mauzer made the kick off and thus started the match. Teo Gudelj kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Croatia's Patrik Terzic got a free kick in the 7th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Teo Gudelj was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Croatia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sorci Viola the free kick. Silvije Santek kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Ferruccio Cordone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Biagio Vettori hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Sorci Viola's goal looked a bit too open when Toni Mauzer came free, but Fortunato Pizziolo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Croatia's zone, Aldo Lucchetti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilija Skugor came out of the goal and Aldo Lucchetti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dinko Stankovic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 31 played minutes Sorci Viola got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Sciarretta. Neven Culina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Croatia's Damir Pongrac got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 43 minutes, Florian Di Domenico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sorci Viola and the Croatia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Sorci Viola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Di Domenico to maneuver through the defense. Fortunato Pizziolo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martin Bosak went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Caniglia to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Toni Mauzer could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Fortunato Pizziolo however easily saved by the left post. 56 minutes into the game, Damir Pongrac cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Fortunato Pizziolo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Sorci Viola booed when Croatia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Gudelj didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dinko Stankovic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute, Ferruccio Cordone left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sorci Viola fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Sorci Viola's Aldo Lucchetti got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ernesto Caniglia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Toni Mauzer came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Croatia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toni Mauzer couldn't finish the play.
