In the 10th minute, Felipe Barreto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Meriç Nurkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Š¢σяpiσиŠ's Emílio Cordeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Š¢σяpiσиŠ from getting a goal against them. Graciano Coutinho made a great header on Portugal's corner, it was just that Š¢σяpiσиŠ's Emílio Cordeiro managed to reach the ball for a save. When Portugal's Faustino Almeida in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 31st minute, one of Š¢σяpiσиŠ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Š¢σяpiσиŠ. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Rony Coelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Portugal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Felipe Barreto in the 41st minute. Emílio Cordeiro was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Graciano Coutinho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Graciano Coutinho really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rony Coelho to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Coelho in the 51st minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rony Coelho got free with Wilson Amorim in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Pimentel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Cordeiro having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Amedeo Faccio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Amedeo Faccio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viriato Moura in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emílio Cordeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Viriato Moura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emílio Cordeiro was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Rony Coelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Rony Coelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. 73 minutes into the match, Graciano Coutinho notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Š¢σяpiσиŠ's Emílio Cordeiro. Emílio Cordeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. After 79 minutes Portugal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Amedeo Faccio who took care of the corner kick. Gilberto Cardozo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Amedeo Faccio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niles Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Emílio Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 94th minute of play. Portugal's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gilberto Cardozo 95 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-4. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
