After 18 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Kyle Cox. Erberk Müftüoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Independiente's Sidney Forbes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Khalid Kennedy. Khalid Kennedy yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Khalid Kennedy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerry Sellers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Khalid Kennedy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sid Chadwick, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerry Sellers in the 30th minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Khalid Kennedy made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Sid Chadwick sent off a good shot on target. 47 minutes into the match, Tommie Bolton dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Khalid Kennedy, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kyle Cox stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. England's Khalid Kennedy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommie Bolton in the 53rd minute of play. Eddie Willis was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 57 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of England:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of C. A. Independiente:s goal. 60 minutes into the game, C. A. Independiente's Tommie Bolton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Khalid Kennedy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. A sloppy throw-in by Quinn Holmes in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by C. A. Independiente's Claudio Marangoni. Kerry Sellers took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Khalid Kennedy. Tommie Bolton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khalid Kennedy having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, England's goal looked a bit too open when Kerry Sellers came free, but Khalid Kennedy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Xavier Gallagher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 81 played minutes, C. A. Independiente's Tommie Bolton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C. A. Independiente reached it. Khalid Kennedy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sid Chadwick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Khalid Kennedy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kerry Sellers went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Sid Chadwick kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C. A. Independiente fans cheered their team off the field, for while England had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
