Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Fred Nilsson sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute WINNING ELEVEN were awarded a corner. Serafin Elizardo went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Serafin Elizardo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wilson Amorim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 20 minutes into the game, Abelardo Bidari threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Felipe Barreto quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Portugal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Serafin Elizardo was slow to take the kick. During this time WINNING ELEVEN's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Serafin Elizardo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim did a great save. A hard shot 24 in the game by Abelardo Bidari from a close distance when the talented Wilson Amorim managed to make a qualified save. Portugal's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Neron Veterini got free with Wilson Amorim in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute, Neron Veterini reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wilson Amorim. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 27th minute, WINNING ELEVEN's Neron Veterini ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Fred Nilsson came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wilson Amorim could save by the left post. When Portugal's Felipe Barreto in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye WINNING ELEVEN's goalie prevented a goal. Jake Leonard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Almeida in the 33rd minute of play. Jake Leonard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonel Cordaro made in the 44th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. Jake Leonard didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Barreto went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viriato Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 52nd minute of play forced WINNING ELEVEN's goalkeeper Jake Leonard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Portugal booed when WINNING ELEVEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Cordaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, WINNING ELEVEN's goalkeeper Jake Leonard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Barreto. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Elizardo in the 79th minute of play. Jake Leonard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipinho Amorim in the 81st minute. Felipinho Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Jake Leonard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
