With a little luck, De Keikoppers's Lionel Van Den Broek got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 16th minute of the match, Edward Vanderstraeten got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lionel Van Den Broek was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lionel Van Den Broek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Rolf Huveneers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rolf Huveneers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Van Der Meren, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Belgium's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 42nd minute. The Belgium fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sem De Kelper stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Guillaume Bonte. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lionel Van Den Broek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. After taking down the ball on De Keikoppers's corner Sem De Kelper fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Casper Claes quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 76th minute of play forced De Keikoppers's goalkeeper Lionel Van Den Broek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lionel Van Den Broek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. Casper Claes stood somewhat misplaced when Rolf Huveneers came free in front of goal and shot 4-3 to the left of him in the 82 minute. When Edward Vanderstraeten came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Belgium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Vanderstraeten couldn't finish the play. Boris Boegaert hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After 91 minutes De Keikoppers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edward Vanderstraeten who took care of the corner kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the De Keikoppers players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Belgium.
