The audience thought a goal was coming when Adria Bielsa got free with Hilario Pesquera in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Golden Dragón F.C's Hilario Pesquera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adria Bielsa in the 9th minute of play. Maximo Perojo charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximo Perojo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hilario Pesquera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adria Bielsa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Dario Betzanos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ascaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Golden Dragón F.C's Alan Petersen couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Spain. Soner Turking struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Gabriel Ascaso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golden Dragón F.C. Hilario Pesquera made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Vicente Merino sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Omar Toledo could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Hilario Pesquera however easily saved by the left post. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Hilario Pesquera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adria Bielsa in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Aranda in the 64th minute of play forced Golden Dragón F.C's goalkeeper Hilario Pesquera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Spain from getting a goal against them. In the 67th minute Adria Bielsa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Pesquera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hilario Pesquera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adria Bielsa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hilario Pesquera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Toledo in the 86th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Golden Dragón F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Toledo came free, but Hilario Pesquera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite being the better team, Spain failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
