Adan Aresti was slow to take the kick. During this time ★Independiente Ψ★'s players had a chance to rest. The corner led ★Independiente Ψ★'s Adan Aresti to fire away a dangerous shot which Gabriel Ascaso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gabriel-Omar Batista might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gabriel Ascaso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel-Omar Batista ran back to his position shaking his head. Gabriel Ascaso made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Gabriel-Omar Batista sent off a good shot on target. Gabriel Ascaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel-Omar Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, ★Independiente Ψ★'s goal looked a bit too open when Omar Toledo came free, but Maximiliano Iigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximiliano Iigo came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Spain's Adria Bielsa. But to his dismay, Adria Bielsa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 39 played minutes ★Independiente Ψ★ got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel-Omar Batista. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adria Bielsa in the 40th minute of play forced ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalkeeper Maximiliano Iigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jay-Jay Okocha in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Spain's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. In the 45th minute Adria Bielsa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Iigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match, Jairo Hotz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gabriel Ascaso was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jay-Jay Okocha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gabriel Ascaso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jairo Hotz went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Jay-Jay Okocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. ★Independiente Ψ★'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jay-Jay Okocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Ascaso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Merino got free with Maximiliano Iigo in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jay-Jay Okocha in the 60th minute of play. ★Independiente Ψ★'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when David Aranda scored to the left of an out of position Maximiliano Iigo, making the score, 1-3. 67 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Hotz came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omar Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Maximiliano Iigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Carles Cherro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximiliano Iigo. ★Independiente Ψ★'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carles Cherro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Carles Cherro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Iigo having to interfere. Spain's Pau Herrero was substituted for David Aranda. Jay-Jay Okocha scored 2-4 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabriel Ascaso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maximiliano Iigo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carles Cherro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 87 minute of play. Lei Feng Ying blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Ascaso having to make a save.
