Romania's Carol Stinga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doctor Mugg in the 4th minute of play. Carol Stinga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doctor Mugg in the 15th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Doctor Mugg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xentrias's supporters rose to their feet, but Doctor Mugg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carol Stinga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute, Adam Olaru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Theo Fil was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Doctor Mugg might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carol Stinga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Doctor Mugg ran back to his position shaking his head. Doctor Mugg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Carol Stinga made a huge save. If Doctor Mugg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xentrias's Adam Sävström was substituted for Sad Boy. Theo Fil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costica Vladimiri in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Xentrias getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Aaron Molander hit a great ball. Xentrias made a substitution. Christer Peterson replaced Albert Rudberg. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Lars-Erik Almstedt went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 72nd minute Anton Stinga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Fil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Xentrias's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Stinga came free, but Theo Fil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th match minute, Xentrias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Closet to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lars-Erik Almstedt in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carol Stinga saved Romania from getting behind. 83 minutes into the match, Lars-Erik Almstedt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carol Stinga. Romania's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lars-Erik Almstedt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Octavian Vaduva got free with Theo Fil in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Theo Fil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sanda Cutov in the 89th minute of the match. Octavian Vaduva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Romania's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
